I use YadaYada and a Minstrel S with my Prism. When I first received the modem (one from the first run about a month ago) I was able to send and receive POP3 email from my AT&T Worldnet account as well as Earthlink. I haven't changed any settings but I can no longer access Worldnet email. Earthlink works fine.

A YadaYada tech told me Worldnet email could not be accessed in POP3 format. But AT&T advertises and provides a link to a promo for using Omnisky for email: http://www.omnisky.com/partners/attworldnet/.

Can anyone successfully send/receive email from AT&T Worldnet using (any brand) email software with YadaYada or Ominisky? If so, what setting are you using for POP Server, etc.? Did you have to do any kind of set-up or internet email preferences through AT&T?

Ominisky users, do you use any special application for Worldnet email? Would it work with any Minstrel S modem?

TIA,

Darrell Trent

I use yada and I can still use my AT&Tworldnet email acct using any palm email software. Just make sure your POP3 settings are (postoffice.worldnet.att.net) and your smtp settings are (mailhost.worldnet.att.net).

Thanks for the reply. Those are the settings I have - still doesn't work. Earthlink POP3 mail works fine.

Was there anything you had to set-up with AT&T (remote mail access prefs., etc.)? For your Account settings on the Palm email software did you use your email name ([email protected]) or the computer-assigned username used to login ([email protected])?
