Question

1. Does the Visor have 2 meg of ROM and can programs be run from it?

2. Can programs be run from the 8 meg Rom cartridge without transfering the programs to Ram? The Handspring site is not clear.

Huh? Theres the ROM OS stuff and then there is either 2 Mb RAM or 8 Mb RAM.

There is no built-in flash ROM, unlike the Palm Pilots.

The Visor has no internal flash memory. it has 8mb of DRAM and the OS is stored in Read Only Memory.

Read my review of the 8mb module and the other springboards at
http://www.palmpower.com

The answer is you can run programs exclusively from the 8mb board, but you have to move it from regular memory first. Some programs which run from flash will also need to keep databases in main memory or they won't work. Jeff Hawkins comments on this in my article.
