I ordered a Visor Deluxe (ice) 2 weeks ago and was wondering, will the sync software be compatible with Windows 2000? We are already converting some of our systems at work, and this weekend I converted my laptop from NT 4 to Win2K. Everything looks like there shouldn't be a problem, but I was just wanting to make sure. Thanks for the help. I can't wait till I get my new 'Ice colored technology'!!!

I can't see why there would be any problem. The sync soft is pretty basic serial I/O, so there shouldn't be any incompatibility. Win2k is also supposed to replace a lot of desktops, so even if there is any bugginess I'm sure Handspring will want to address it.

I'm using Win2k at home, and for what it's worth, just about everything that claims to work with NT, also works with 2k.

The issue here is that USB software does NOT work with NT, so your comment doesn't really tell us anything.
What might be more helpful is that apps that work under Win9x _should_ work under Win2k, provided they are fully Win9x compliant. (read: many apps are NOT, but will probably work as long as they don't exploit low level functionality) Anyone know if Win2k offers any VxD support? (gaa!) Nasty as they are, there are a lot of apps that make VxD calls to hardware; do any of these work?

I can't answer your question about VxD but MS has widely touted Win2k as providing the accessibility and simplicity of Win98. I've used Win2K for about 6 months now (in it's various mutations) and sync my Palm up to it using the standard desktop PIM software and also Chapura's PocketMirror for Outlook connections.

I don't imagine there should be a problem.
