How can I set up my visor so when I turn it on the Palm software logo is displayed?
I saw the logo when I installed batteries for the first time.
Thanks
M.

You could reset your visor every time right before you turn it on! Seriously, you get that Palm splash upon soft and hard resets only (me thinks).

Search PalmGear for "LogoHack" and see if there is a Palm logo version. (The hack allows you to have a "splash screen" for a second or so each time you power up, and there are several images available.)

I'm using a program called "yourlogo" and it works well. You have to get a picture, make it 160x160 in 2 color mode, i.e. black and white, and then it will convert it to a file logo.prc. Everytime you turn your Visor on, it will display for a couple seconds then bring up the last screen you used. Neat program, free and easy to use. I'd like it to have the option of displaying the screen longer though. I have a picture with my name and phone number on mine, but I think it flashes up too quickly for someone to read the number if I lose it. But you can always turn it off and then on again. I hope you find it useful.

Be careful, though, and backup first. I tried a couple of times and finally gave up. Every four or five times I turned my Visor on, I got the Splashscreen, but not the way I wanted it: it was this dreaded "loop" where you get the screen again and again.
On the other hand, maybe it just was a bad unit and I should try again (got a replacement and never tried since).

P.S. You have been warned.

RadarGreg,
Where did you get the program "yourlogo"? I've looked on Palmgear and can not find it.

Thanks for your help!

Toddb,

If you'd like the yourlogo program, send me an email. I thought I had found it on PalmGear's site, but it might have come from somewhere else. I can email it to you if you'd like. Thanks!
