Exclamation

You know, I have spoken several times to Handspring Customer Service in the past week to check on my order, and to make sure they haven't screwed something up. I'm waiting today a total of about two hours to speak with them (they are always presently experiencing a high F8&##@n volume of calls). So it suddenly occurs to me that if they're bending us over and shafting us repeatedly in the sales process, then I don't want to know how screwed we'll be if/when we need to send the unit(s) to them for repair/replacement. With Pilot (dating back to the 1000) I never had a problem AT ALL, and now this experience has me wondering. My original concern with buying the Visor was whether or not it would be as good as a Palm. However, like when buying a car, it's not just the product but the support system behind it. Granted, this f-in thing is only $250 where the 8MB Razor's $450. But that extra $200 has now got me wondering if having a stick-in mp-3 player without flash is really worth all this aggravation. Considering I ordered my unit on 9/14 and don't know fer sure if it's on its way, I'm giving them til Monday then I buy the Vx. What's worse, I don't know whether I want the Deluxe to actually show up here...if they're so inept (they being the call center, handspring, UPS and that guy on the corner who looks suspicious ;-) that they can't do this properly, then I don't want to buy something that I rely on for my personal and business contact info. I guess Monday we'll see whether I'll be a New Visor Owner or a repeat Palm owner (again)...
