Just found a couple of interesting DOS commands at work today: ping [url] and tracert [url]. Is there anyway to do that on a mac?

Mac OS X has all of those commands under a control panel (applications/utilities..) called "network tools" (or something similar) --

For Mac OS 8/9 there is an app called OTTool -- it can do ping, tracert, dns lookups, ip scans, etc .. you can check it out here:
