I received my Visorphone(VoiceStream Service) and the sound quality for the person calling me was not good.

The person calling me would at somepoint in the conversation hear an echo. I tried 3 headsets and even without the headset.

If the person calling me talked for maybe a second or two no echo. But once the person calling me held a normal conversation they would hear an echo.

I believe it could be a problem with the hardware Visorphone has chosen for compressing and decompressing the audio data.

I sent the first Visorphone back and received a second Visorphone and had the same results.

I checked the Visor Village message boards and a Visorphone user on the PAC BELL network had the same problems.

Anybody else have a comment on the audio quality the people calling your Visorphone experience?

From all the posts I've read concerning the visorphone, many of them complain about the voice quality the visorphone produces so you are not alone on this one. I don't know which headsets you've tried but you should definitely try one that is (or at least claims to be) of very high quality (this may make a difference).

I don't have problems with quality when I use the visorphone without a headset, but I have had lots of problems with sound quality on the transmission side when I use any headset (I've already tried four!) Still looking for a headset that works...
