Cheap MMC for use with MiniJam

What's the biggest and cheapest MMC I can get that is compatible with my Innogear Minijam?

There is word that the 128's are ready to hit the market but I am sure they will be around 125.00 each - other then that, go on a search engine and pull up MMC cards and there are a few that pop up with good prices

BTW - innogear just announced a new promo with some pretty awesome deals

TigerDirect.com has a refurb 64MB MMC that I just bought for $30. Oddly, UPS ground was $9 or so, and Airborne Second Day was only $7. But beware the various, expensive gimmicks they try to pull on you when ordering.

Thanks to you both for the info. Innogear seems to claim that you have to use their MMC card--is that true? (evidently not?) Wonder how long the 128's will be so expensive.

I was told by Innogear techsupport that the minijam wont work with the NEW sandisk, seems sandisk made some changes to their new rev cards. But he said the Hitatchis work great.

Well, first, they wanted my CCID number, something I didn't even knew existed. It's a 3-digit number on the back of most credit cards. It's used to verify the card or some such thing. Ok, fine, I say. No problem there, right? Then, they need the last four digits of my SSN#. VERY unusual; no e-tailer has ever needed that from me. Finally, they brought up a page during my order that inquired if I wanted to sign up for a calling card. This, combined with the SSN# bit, was almost enough to cause me to cancel my order.

I was infuriated when I read the calling card fine print: they would charge me $50 a month per month, without any notification sent to me. I was only irritated by this message at first, knowing I wasn't stupid enough to fall for it, until I noticed something else. If I were to accept (even by mistake, not noticing) this card, they would use the same credit card and shipping information I had given them without notifying me!

I weathered the extra junk and placed my order, but I will not be buying from them in the future.

Are you talking about an order with Innogear???? I never experienced that and it seems they use Wellsfargo as their shoping cart - if Wellsfargo does that I would same that is pretty bad

I think he's talking about TigerDirect.com. I understand that web sites have to supplement their income with ads and such forth, but that seems VERY excessive to have to put up with. Why on earth would they need the last 4 digits of your SSN?

You should never, never, never give out any part of your SS#. The last 4 digits are used by many dumb financial institutions as a PIN number for access to things like your bank account (unless you change it to something different). There is no reason that an online purchase should need this information.

Actually, under the old laws it was illegal for anyone other than the IRS to use the SS# because of the concerns that it would become a national ID number. Hmm, guess where we ended up after the law was changed.

As to the special 3 digit code on the card, I would be wary of using online orders requiring this. The only reason that this is adding security right now is that there aren't enough IIS based databases to make it insecure. But as soon as everyone is storing it in their databases, along with all your other info, we're back to the same insecure state of affairs as we were in before adding the new security code.
