Question

I am a rabid, lifeless Franklin Planner user and will get a Visor if and only if Franklin-Covey has software or a springboard that will emulate a Franklin Planner on the Visor. I know that Franklin-Covey sells Palm III, V, and VII with Franklin Planner software loaded on the Palm, but nobody I have talked to at Franklin Covey can tell me if I can buy the software separately. Also, I heard that Franklin Covey was developing a springboard module, but I have heard no details about its appearance or functionality.

So, can anyone answer the following questions?
1. Can you buy the Franklin Planner software for the Palm separately? (I know you can buy the software for the PC... but for the Palm?)
2. What's the deal with the Franklin Covey springboard? Will it exist? What's it supposed to be like?

many thanks,
Robert

Yes, you can buy F/C software for the Palm/Visor. It's their Franklin Covey for Outlook 98. It includes Palm connectivity.

There are TWO FC software packages-- Franklin Planner Outlook (FPO) and Franklin Planner Software (FPS). Both are supported on Palm OS 3.1 and hence should work on Visor. FPO is apparently an add-on to MS Outlook, while FPS is an electronic version of the paper system. The FPS does synch with the Palm system-- address book, daily task list, daily record of events, etc etc.

Check out the forums in Franklincovey.com. Lots of discussions there on the software, and on installing the Visor.

I'm in the process of installing now, will let you know my results.

Question

srwdc1, Have you been able to install the FranklinCovey software on your Visor?

If so, what software did you need from FranklinCovey? How did you do the installation?
