What Does This Mean?

My screen on a VDX died a few days ago. Now when I turn it on it shows black lines of varying width across the screen. This only happened after I opened it, it was no longer under warrenty, and disconected and reconnected the screen connection to the main board. Is my LCD dead or is there a bad connection somewhere?

Since you already voided the warranty, try re-opening the case and checking the screen connection again.
