Unhappy

I've have this problem where my Vdx is going nuts. After changing a newly charge Alkaline batts, the thing works fine until a few hours later when it suddenly starts cycling the beeps, with the backlit on.

So I take out the batts and do a hard reset, and now it's even worse. Everything looks fine until I touch any of the 6 buttons.. then it cycles through all the calendar screens non-stop. Pressing the on-off button only manages to pause it on a particular screen. BTW, at this point all my data was lost.

I've tried taking out the batts and leaving it overnight. No dice, until suddenly I've managed to hotsync it and reinstall all my data back.

It's erased all my data during one of my batt change-over, but this is the craziest I've ever seen it. I've been using it for since Jan 00 without any problem.

Please help. I'm in Singapore. Does anyone know the process to return the unit if I have to??

Thanks, Ken
