Hey, I'll be upgrading from a Platinium to an Edge next week. I currently use the Palm Desktop software, and was wondering if the Edge uses the same desktop software as Platinium.

In other words, do I need to install the Palm Desktop software again for my new Edge? Or just plug in the Edge and let 'er rip.

Also, is the screen the same size? I have 11 screen protectors that I haven't used yet.

Yes and Yes

The screen on the Edge is the same as the one on the other models.

There is no need to install the software again. The Edge should work fine with the software you now have.

screen size

For screen size I had to cut my protector by about 1/16 to 1/8 on top and side to get it to fit.
