Can I change my OS on my Visor?

Hello all,

I really need help...my problem is as follows.

A friend of mine boat me a Visor Dlx from Germany
so what`s the problem U ask.....I d`ont speak german
I`m not able to work or navigate my Visor properly

I heard & read about ROM recovery to the PC via USB is that possible & in my case how can that help?
So...Can I change my OS to an English OS

Visor Rom

If you had a Palm, you could do something with a download ROM image, but since all of the visors use non-flashable rom, you can't flash change the the onboard rom.

What you could try is contacting a site that sells used Visor mobo's and seeing if they have one that has an english rom on it, and are willing to trade for a german one for perhaps a little cash in the deal. Gethightech sells visor parts, although there are undoubtably others. I don't work for them, but I'm a constant VDX kaizen geek, so I've had it apart a number of times. The mobo consists of 3 pieces - a main system board, a memory and rom(?) daughterboard, and the keypad board. Go to gethightech and see if they can help you with the part you need.
