Finally
About a year ago I thought it would be a great idea to have a glucose monitor springboard. I thought I wouldn't mind having a PDA but I just couldn't justify getting one to store only a half dozen names and addresses (my watch can do that). I don't need another bulkier and more expensive cell phone and I can only think of a couple of times I wish I had access to the internet while I was walking, not driving, around. Being a geographer I liked the GPS idea but they were too expensive then and not nearly accurate enough for me. The toy factor just wasn't enough incentive to spend $200 either. I can get a PS2 or Xbox for that now.
Now that TheraSense has come out w/ the Freestyle Tracker I'm sold, especially since I'm getting it through them for about $150 not including the $75 rebate. It's time for me to upgrade to the new less painful 1/3 microliter tester. I'm really tired of writing everything in a log book and manually entering it into my PC.
The cool thing is now that Handspring is bagging the whole springboard thing anyway all those once expensive modules and memory cards are going to get cheap. That's good news to me since it's all still new stuff to me.
I just hope that by the time the battery wears out there will be an upgrade I can trade everything in for. One w/ a color display and and even more memory and speed
