I have a Visor Deluxe and just tried to Beam addresses and applications to my friend's new Palm and he could send me stuff but my Visor would not send him anything. Could this be due to different Palm OSs running on the two machines?

Visor to Palm IR Beaming
I have a Visor, and my wife has a IIIe, and we are able to beam each other. Does your friend have his Beam Receive on?

Visor to Palm IR
Yep, he had his beam receive on and my Visor kept saying "Could not find
a receiving handheld computer."?

Is the either of you overclocking? Usually when the receiver overclocks, the beaming will fail. But maybe you will want to disable both overclocking and try again. If disabling or if you aren't overclocking, try resetting both machines.

Maybe you need to overclock your visor to above 20MHz to make IR work properly. That's how I solved the beaming problem.

It's probably either overclocking or one of you has beambox installed. that sometimes causes problems too...
