I'm trying to get our CFO's new Omnisky working.

I've tried three locations in Southwest Houston, to no avail, despite Omnisky's coverage checker giving me a green light for all three zip codes.

In the Minstrel app, RSSI bounces every second between about 30% and about 10% (and red). The "Cellular" checkbox goes on and off, but the CDPD checkbox never wavers.

Anyone in Houston (James?) got a clue?

I get the same thing up here in the Boston area, It's the "stub" antenna that comes with the Minstrel.. Try a better antenna.. (or do the tinfoil test ) Samsung 1000/1900 & 3500 replacement cell phone antennas fit the same socket as the Minstrel.

You may also have a miss-configured modem.. call for tech support.
