And a poor decision that would be, indeed (if it's a main basis for your decision). Example: give me a clie and I may well ***** about battery life and expansion abilities. Give mikedemo a handera and he may well ***** about a mono screen and less than glamorous looks. As I said, if you're unable to think for yourself, letting someone else's opinion count twice is a nice thing to do. If you are able to think for yourself, another's opinion would be taken with a grain of salt and certainly wouldn't be solicited. I understand asking for others experiences regarding a potential purchase (more along the lines you're advocating, no?), but that occurs after initially identifying a device that could well be suitable (and isn't really subjective anyway).

I think we are both saying the same thing in different ways. What I'm saying is that if I am in the market say for a new color PDA, I have no problem writing a post aking people what they think AND WHY they think that about their color PDA. If someone says that theirs is unreadable in direct sunlight and I need to be able to read mine outdoors, I will use that information as part of my decision-making process. I different people leave conflicting information/opinions/etc. I will either ask for more information look further for additional information.
I am of the opinion that one can never have too much information in order to make a decision; you just have to know when to make that decision.

One more

I too am a Prism owner with a blue T615C on the way. The biggest deciding factor for me was the size of the T615C as compared to the Prism. I'll post an update when I get the T615C up and running. Shortly after that I'll have a Prism and a bunch of extras on the market

Agreed, but, as with all information, the source needs to be taken into account. My opinion that color screens suck would mean jack if I had never used one.

Thumbs up Goodbye Prism

I got the Clie T615C/L and so far so good. The colors are a bit muted as compared to the Prism, but the smaller size, 16 mb of memory, and viewability outside are an acceptable trade off.

I regret that Handspring has drug their feet for so long in coming up with a successor to the Prism. For now, the Clie is the best choice for me - YMMV.

My Prism and all the associated goodies are for sale on ebay if anyone is interested: item number 1341422373.
