Question

I got the module today and have it all pretty much set; an Italian dictionary works great with all but the database on the module, Citikey needs its data on the visor, but that will go to backup after i return from my trip.Games and other misc also are on it with no problems, even Metro...so basically this is my TRAVEL module...

The next ideal would be putting my e-books and other documents on the module for use by a doc reader. Teal doc does not like it, it crashes if the documents are on the module. Does anyone know of a bare bones doc reader that will use module-based documents? I don't mind having tealdoc and docs that I want to bookmark or modify on the visor, but I would like to put some plain text docs like manuals, etc that I don't need to write to on the module.

Any suggstions appreciated..also, I plan on going to the 8mb upgrade from STNE, looks like a good plan...thanks, Tim

For doc readers that can read from the module you have several options. The Peanut Reader (free from http://www.peanutpress.com )can read the docs from the module, but as with any other program, the db files will need to reside in main memory (typically 1-4k). Another option is TomeRaider ($20.00 from TomeRaider.com and Palm Gear) is another great option. Both programs come with conversion utilities from text to their native formats, and the Peanut reader also supports the DOC standard as well. Peanut reader takes 97k of main memory plus 1-4k per document or book, while TomeRaider takes only 40k plus 1k for the db.
Hope this helps.

To read DOC files located on a module:
My first choice - Peanut Reader (mentioned above)
My second choice - CSpotRun [great Auto Scroll]
