Crash Bang!

Here's my problem, every time I connect to the internet via my Thinmodem, it crashes. I can get email using one-touch, chat with AOL IM, use BugMe Messenger, and refresh my AvantGo content. I also use the AG browser to (try to) connect to the net, but it always crashes, forcing a hard reset and restore.
Here's another problem, my company, for some odd reason, is requiring me to log my time into the website every day after work instead of filling out a little form in Excel and sending it in every week. With my connection crashing, this can't be done, and I sure can't deal with a hard reset after every attempt. I would like to find a different solution, possibly another browser, use my cell phone through the Thinmodem or even wireless, but that's spotty at best. I can drag the trusty laptop out, but that's defeating my purpose. I was wondering if anyone else has had a similar problem with the AG/Thinmodem combo and could recommend another browser or a solution. Thanks,
Sterling

I had similar issues with applications when using AOL IM. I have had to sign-off IM when using Avant Go. I use OmniSky as opposed to a wire modem.
Might give that a try.

Thanks,
Next time on, I'll try that, and if it works, I don't really need to chat with those knuckleheads anyway.
