I can directly(non hotsync) transfer files(quickoffice, memos, etc) from the visor to the PC via infrared, but I can not transfer files from the PC to the visor via infrared. Does anyone have any ideas?

Have you enabled "Beam Receive" from your /Prefs/General menu?

This might do the trick...

Yes I have beem set up correctly. I guess my question is what software do I need to get the PC to send the file?

Not exactly sure about this, but try using Palm Desktop install tool and setting HotSync Manager up to sync via the IR Port. This should install software just like the Visor was in the cradle, I think.

To HotSync you would go to system, and then HotSync.
