I have 2 visor deluxe and 1 platinum, the two deluxes crashes like crazy, the platium only once in a while.. I really can't stand the constant resetting and all the crap with the deluxe..

I been reading a lot of the post and it seem like it's the bios + type of program that's be run...

Funny thing is all 3 visor runs the dope war game and only the deluxe would lock or crash and requires hard reset.

I'm either faced with suggestions from the users here or off with my visors and get a more robust PDA...

I have been shopping for
Compaq ipaq - mono one
Palm M500 - mono one
Palm Vx - older model...

Anyone have any suggestion for me ?
The old question is should I stick with a Palm OS or pocket pcs..

Crash Me Not

I have a VDX and run Dopewars with no problems. A couple of months ago I started fooling around with hacks, and my VDX began locking up. I got tired of trying to figure out which specific hack was causing my problems (or conceptually, which combination of hacks), so I finally uninstalled all hacks and my problems went away. I tried a number of different hacks, including Green Light, McPhling and IgnoreSearch, but didn't find any of them to be indispensible. I now run a hack free unit and have lived happily ever after.

In fact, my new motto may well be "Hack Free Since 2001".

No hacks!

Wife only use this handspring to play her games and I play dopewar sometimes, there is no app on this except for 3 games and her address/notes. This thing has like 7 megs free!

Even my platinum has nothing on it... and it isn't my deluxe, of the two deluxe, one is ice and one is blue, my friends deluxe which is loaded with crap, maps, hacks, etc gets faults and crashes monthly and he has the black deluxe..

only my platinum works good but if I need to change, i'm chaning all mine so I dont have to fool around with multiple cradles and stuff..

Possible

Is it possible that your Deluxes have the DRAM issue? Download and run the updater v 1.0 at Handspring's web site. Check in the support section.

Supposely it doesn't, friend has his running with the dram fix and still crash, my deluxe doesn't and doesn't crash as often but still once a while but it's a hard crash that I gotta enter all the stuff...

Sometimes if it crash, I try to hit reset it gets stuck in the palm os screen..

anyway I order 3 ipaq from amazon today, these visors are going on ebay..
