Exclamation

Alright, this morning on a preview/interview of the upcoming movie remake "Charlie's Angels" I saw a short clip showing the three new angels sitting in a convertible, when one of the three apparently pulled out a Graphite Visor! Any one else see this, or have another Visor sighting to report?

Saw C's Angels this afternoon, and as could be expected, the 'villain's handheld was a CE and theirs was a Visor~

Yep I saw it too! I posted a thread about a week ago. I didn't go see the movie yet, but I'll probably see it this weekend!

Thumbs up

I just came from watching the movie and yes, there is definetly a Graphite Visor in the movie. There is a brief close-up in which you can clearly see the Handspring logo.

Talking Angels in a locker room

OK, I just read the news article posted on the main page here and as I read it, one question came screaming into my head: "Drew Barrymore, Cameron Diaz, and Lucy Liu are in a locker room and someone is looking at their PDA?"

Wow this IS a specialized market segment! :-)

LOL, the Visor was shown full screen so there wasn't anything else to look at.

No, the Visor was shown full screen when they were ordering fast food (in the convertible), not in the locker room (where it was quickly passed from Diaz to one of the other Angels).

I'm not sure how the Pocket PC is connected, but it wasn't the bad guy's. Drew Barrymore said he was going to a party later on, and then the Visor appeared on screen, so I assume that is where she got the information from.

They looked at the "villian's" Pocket PC early on in the movie and managed to magically transfer the data to the Angels' Visor.

By the way, when I saw the movie, I was in a theater packed with high school and junior high kids and probably 1/2 of the crowd recognized the Visor and started to talk about it. I'd say that Handspring's breaking into the younger crowd.

Actually, you can beam appotments and contacts between a Palm OS device and a Psion. If the PocketPC in question supports IRDa, it could be possible to do this.

A bunch of my junior high friends recognize my visor when I pull it out... without me even telling them what it is.

OK, so I only just got to see the movie this weekend... but I think it was either badly edited or confused. (OK so this isn't crucial to whatever 'plot' there was in the movie I know)
They open the locker and say "Palm Pilot" but the close-up clearly shows the WinCE 'Start' button and the corner of the screen, then without any explanation, they're in the car and they know about the party... Are we supposed to believe that the devices are the same thing, or that the Angels beamed over all his appointments before they left the locker room...?

Maybe there's some neat HotSync tip lying on a Hollywood cutting room floor somewhere...!!!

BTW What was the Merc convertible that Lucy Liu was driving..???
