Red face

I had to reformat my PC's hardisk recently. I have reinstalled the softwares
including the Palm Desktop software. Before reformatting the h/disk I had
no problem to hotsync my Visor Dlx. Now when I press the hotsync button (I use a USB
cradle) I get the following messages:

On the Desktop it says "Could not open port Com1. Please verify that Com1 is
available and make any changes in the Hotsync manager setup". I have unchecked the Local Serial in Hotsync Manager.

On the Visor it says "The connection between your handheld computer and
desktop could not be established. Please check yoursetup and try again".

Hope someone can help me?

I had a similar problem before. Try reinstalling the palm desktop software. Make sure your Visor is in the cradle and the cradle is plugged into the computer BEFORE you install software.

Tried that

Thanks

I tried that before uninstalled the desktop s/ware and reinstalled with the Visor (switched on) and cradle hooked to the usb port. - Didn't work either. But will try again.
