Question

I was just wondering if anyone has found a fix for the problem that requires Mac users to remove their backups folder before a hotsync can be done. I went through the archives but I could not find anything.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hello. I know of no such problem. I have a G3 PowerBook 266 running OS 9 and use infrared to HotSync and have never had any problems. Can you post some details about your problem?

Ever since upgrading to the 2.6 version of the desktop software I have to remove my backups folder out of my users folder to do a successful hot sync. If my backups folder is there I cannot even start a hot sync, the visor says the connection has been lost. I have read in the archives that other people were having the same problem and there were no work arounds posted. I guess people are still moving their folders before doing a hot sync. I have this problem on both of my computers both running 9.0.4. One is a PB 3400 with a serial cradle and my other computer is a beige G3 with a PCI USB card. I have attempted to hot sync via infared and have never actually completed one my visor always says that it has lost the connection before I ever get done.
