Exclamation

Has anyone tried OmniRemote with their new Visor yet? I can't seem to get it to recognize any IR input. I do have beam receive set on. Is there anything else I'm missing?

Alright, if you go to OmniRemote's home page you'll find a beta update that supports the Visor. Yay.

Thumbs up

The beta version of OmniRemote works extremely well with my Visor Deluxe. It's available at: http://www.pacificneotek.com/download.htm

The range is about 25 feet for my Zenith TV and Pioneer stereo! The screen also flips 270 degrees to allow the IR output to be aimed at the device you're trying to control. It feels natural holding the Visor sideways and controlling the TV.

I give the beta version of OmniRemote a thumbs up! I hope they release the full version soon.

If you haven't already registered this program, it's worth the price in my opinion. I have enjoyed my OmniRemote in my Palm III for a long time now.

Cool

I would also give the beta for Visors a thumbs-up! I've never used the program before. but it was easy to set up and use, including creating some new buttons.

It's a 14-day demo which works only for one category (TV) if you haven't registered. The beta expires December 1, and as was pointed out, the screen flips to accomodate the Visor's IR on the upper left corner.
