Question May I become a VC discussion member?

I don't have a Visor or Palm product, I don't have a handheld device except my Crispy Turquoise Ericsson T10s. May I be a VC discussion member?.

I'm deciding to buy palmPC device, I browse the web, I found the Handspring Visor product, but I'm hesitate to buy that product becuse the battery performance. Some people in this discussion says the battery is lack of power, even the new comer Treo.

Because I want to use Visor for my full day as mobile phone, e-Book reader device, PDA and track my web-based e-mail (Hotmail, Yahoo!Mail, LycosMail), does Visor support web-based e-mail?. Anybody help me to find the better product I need?, in low price of course...

Thank's

How can you ask permission for something you already are?

Well, it depends on the device. The battery life on the Prism (color) and the Treo (phone combo) is pretty bad, but on the rest of them it's very good.

Just as much as any other palm device, it does. I don't know about web-based, specifically, that would be a pain. but I believe all of your email services allow for POP mail download, and the visor handles that pretty good.

As one of the lead writers here, I welcome you to the boards, and encourage you to post all your questions, comments, and anything else you might want to add. I'll let the rest of the users answer your questions though, as I am short on time.

Welcome!

Welcome to the group! A Visor is not required (as seen by the many Sony users here).

As far as battery life goes, my Platinum gets about a week using regular batteries but I am using rechargable NiMH batteries now which gives me less time per charge but the batteries last years perhaps.

I have always been interested in learning Bahasa Indonesia. Actually, I am always interested in learning new languages. I know Italian, French, Latvian, Ancient Egyptian, and of course English. I am trying to learn Chinese (not the symbols mind you) so Bahasa Indonesia will have to wait.

Nice to have so many mulitlingual people here!

As far as the Prism, battery life isn't great, but I easily get six hours continuous use per day on one charge. I find it very easy to just put the visor in the cradle every night, but for long trips when you don't have access to a plug, a battery-based charger is a must. I don't know how it would do with the visor phone. There must be some prism-visorphone users that could give share their experience.

Good luck!
