Angry Pi Direct problems

Has anyone had success with Pi Direct??
I have followed the directions to the letter and only used applications that have passed on the "list" and the damn thing won't work!
I don't get the "drop down menu" mentioned with the (step 2 at the memplug.com site) instructions to edit the subdirectory. I tap on the "down" button and nothing happens.
What could I be doing wrong?
I have tried installing Pi Direct twice.

TIA

S

PiDirect is looking for \Palm\PiDirect by default, so use PiMover to create these folders. If you plan to use a card reader like the Zio, you must first use PiPrefs and format the card. Then, immediately do a Backup with PiBackup to create the proper Backup folder. Then create the \Palm and \Palm\PiDirect folders. Now you can move apps to this folder and PiDirect will work.

I have successfully moved and run:

PalmReader (Peanut Reader) and a large document
CoPilot and large waypoint database
HandyShopper2
AVlogbook
Acrobat Reader and two .pdf files

This is using the v1.4 updater.
