Edge and GPS

I'm trying to decide which PDA to get(it will be my first), and I was impressed with the option of a GPS unit for the Edge. Anyone have any experience? Pros, cons?

Ummm.... correct me if I'm wrong but can't you get GPS (via one of several modules you can purchase) on *any* Handspring Visor including the Edge?

As far as experiences with using a GPS module go... I wish I had $$$ to drop right now so I could have an experience... But from reading Alan's visoradventure posts, it sounds like the Magellan GPS module works great!

I recently bought a Magellan GPS Companion to go with my edge. It's a great combination. I held off getting the GPS when I had a deluxe because of some RF issues that had been brought up. Once I upgraded to the Edge, it was my first purchase. It works great. I just keep the companion parked in the Edge springboard sled and insert/remove the whole unit as one piece.

PMFJI,

I have the Magellan. It's lots of fun. It's pretty neat to be able to see exactly where you are at any time in relation to the streets, etc. around you.

I've actually used it to help me find short cuts through town to save myself time and effort.
