Question

My question is kind of related to the power supply AC/DC. I have a Prism and it works great, but i need to go back to Hong Kong for a while. The power supply in US and Hong Kong are different. In US, it's 120V AC, but in Hong Kong is 220V AC. Since I don't know how much DC the Prism used to recharge the battery, I wonder could I may be able to buy a USB cradle in Hong Kong (Handspring has been selling PDA in Hong Kong for a while) and use it instead the one came with the Prism.

I know I should ask Handspring, of course, I did. However, I would like to hear from someone who know about it before Handspring replies my email.

Thanks.

The travel charger has the adaptors you need to use it.

I don't see any reason why you can't buy a cradle in Hong Kong and use that one (tho it's probably the same cradle with a different power supply.

I think all you need is the adapted if you look at the PS it says it supports 220 or 120.

You do not need additional cradles or whatsoever as it is clearly stated on the power supply of the original cradle - 110-240V, which is enough to cover all contries in the world.

mkgeoff, ZZMS is right - you don't need any special converter or new cradle/power supply.

The Visor Prism's power adapter is multi-voltage.

I live in Malaysia and my power voltage is the same as in Hong Kong, and my Prism recharges with no problems using the supplied adapter.

All you actually need is a plug converter to change the US two-pin plug into whatever kind of plug you have in Hong Kong
