just post your email if anyone wants the driver..

I am experiencing some difficulty with putting VDX on/off keyboard.
it took me a few days, but now i am fine with it. a trick is to sort of put it on and off at an angle, and when one post is in the groove, push the other in

Actually, posting your email here is really not required for another VC member to email you. All you have to do is click on the user's profile icon. If their email is hidden, there will be a link that says "Click here to send <name> an email". Just click on it and fill out the form. The VC server will send on your message as email to the recipient. The person will have a link in the email that they can use to reply. Pretty neat!

This system allows people (like myself) to keep their email hidden from the spammers but does not cut off all email communcation. (My spam level is about 10 emails per day - I really don't want it any higher! )

[Opps! The above will only work if the recipient has allowed emails to be sent to them this way.]

Best $100 I spent for my Vdx.

I stopped by the Handspring-partner booths at MacWorld Expo today (Moscone Convention Center, San Francisco). I made sure to let the Targus rep know how much I liked my Stowaway Keyboard. The conversation went like this:

Me: I want you to know that I have caused more jaws to drop from unfolding my Stowaway Keyboard than any other gadget I have. I love it, and use it all the time.
Rep: That's GREAT! I LOVE hearing stories like that.
Me: Yeah, thank you!
Rep: No, thank YOU!!

Yeah, it was pretty cool.

Oh, and while I was sitting around waiting for a Handspring presentation at their little mini-theater area, the presenter mentioned to the audience that he was giving away a Stowaway at the end of the presentation. I promptly pulled mine out from my bag to show it to the guy sitting next to me. He seemed pleased.

Not to be mean but the GoType is not that great!

It is to small as the keys go. The Stowaway is a full size keyboard that you can carry with you. You really cannot take the GoType with you unless you have a backpack or something large enough to stick it in. I can carry the stowaway in a pocket or on my belt if need be. I carry the Visor on my belt now and can just grab and take the stowaway with me very easily as it folds up so small. Have you ever used one?

As far as a lap keyboard, the Gotype is probably better but then again I can use anything to stick under the Stowaway and it is fine. A magazine etc... Then again we go back to those damn small keys. Nope the Stowaway is much better. I like a full sized keyboard much better and have used the Stowaway in my lap.

Once you use a stowaway you would never think about using a Gotype. IMHO.

I use the Minstrel S modem constantly with the visor Prism and keyboard. All works perfectly. Recently when on a business trip for 8 days, I sent about a 100 emails and received about 500. Very easy to use.
