Question

My friend has a prism - prior to him getting serious with it, his daughter apparently initialized the unit as "test".

Now he wants to rename it and set up his desktop user, but every time he deletes users or even hard resets the device it wants to synch as "test".

How can he delete the test name from the prism and start fresh?

TIA

Use PalmName to rename. It's free and can be found on http://www.mulliner.org/palm/

Use PAlm Desktop

Or goto the palm desktop, top right click on box where name is, edit users, add new name.

Do a hard reset, pressing power button and hold, put pin in reset in back, when palm screen comes up release power button, screen should say erase all dat?
hit up button to say yes.
Now sync it box should pop up letting you select your new user name.

yes, maybe the desktop software only has one user configured so it's automatically assuming the visor user is test
