Question

Whenever I use my backup springboard in my Visor Deluxe I am forced to do a soft reset when I remove the springboard. Reinserting it does not fix the problem.

Has anyone else had this problem or a fix for it?

Thanks,

Visigoth

Question

Have you tried exiting the backup application before removing the module?

Yes

I've had the same issue. You can get around it by making sure to quit the backup app before taking the module out. I usually just try to remember to go to some other application (or back home) before pulling the module.

When I do this, I've never had lockup.

I have the same experience as yucca and visigoth. Just press a hard button before removing it and you'll be fine.

Are you running any Hacks that might access recent applications?

I also had a problem with the backup module locking up the Visor Deluxe.

I called Tech Support. First they had me trade in the backup module (it was only a week or so old, and bought at the local Staples) for a new one. That didn't cure the problem, so they shipped me a new Deluxe.

This one doesn't lock up. Sounds like a plan to me....

Lightbulb I had a problem..

With the modem springboard locking up my computer, and also starting a hotsync while the visor was off.

I think I tracked it down to Afterburner.

No Afterburner (or other speed enhancers) in use here.
