Unhappy

Help, I don't seem to be able to sync my visor. When its in the cradle and press the button, the visor responds and tries to sync but my PC isn't responding. I've tried reinstalling palm desktop and it didn't seem to work.

Anyone have any suggestions on how to remedy this problem?

Try a soft reset of the Visor.

I'm having the same problem w/ both mine and my wife's visor. Tried both serial and USB cradle and get the same message when I attempt a hotsync:

HotSync operation started 05/07/01 12:40:35
HotSync Error:
An application failed to respond to a
HotSync notification. Please check the Palm Desktop for details. (8009)

Palm Desktop gives the same message, so checking there is useless. If (8009) is an error code, where can I find out what it means?

Tried a reboot, no good. MarkEagle do you think I need to do a soft reset of both visors? I thought I would try reinstalling the palm desktop.

Thanks a lot. The soft reset worked.

Serial Synic Problem

I've suddenly developed a Serial Synic Problem with my Prism. I have been synicing it at work for the last 5 months with no problems. Suddenly in the last week I have to do a soft reset everytime I want to synic with the serial port.
I have a USB port on my home computer and have not had any problems with it.

ANY IDEAS?

Unhappy apres moi

My deluxe will not synch with my iBook this week though it worked perfectly last week. No changes to the mac OS or software; nothing added to the pda.

What gives/

Update on my serial sinking problem.
I installed the PalmOS 4.01 Hot Synic Manager and haven't had a synicing problem since. I don't know why it worked but I'm happy. It was scary to have to reset your Visor just to synic.
