Is a Visor battery spring fixable?!?!

Last night I tried to check my Visor Neo and it wouldn't turn on. Although I haven't had any battery low warnings, I assumed the batteries might be low (I have been using quite heavily lately), so I opened the battery door. I hadn't even touched the batteries yet and the top AAA flopped out and the battery spring went flying somewhere in my living room! I still haven't found it, as they are quite small and not very visible.

As if that wasn't enough, the little circle metal contact on the bottom battery was floating inside the Neo's case. It did eventually come out with a little careful tipping.

No power, no Visor. this a common problem? Is this easily fixable? Is

My Visor is only 6 months old and still covered by Handspring 1 year warranty AND Best Buy 2 year plan. But, I can't live without my PDA right now (huge fundraising event being planned) and Best Buy dicontinued all the Visor models so I would have to take a different replacement. I like my Springboards and GoType keyboard ALOT.

When looking at the battery compartment, are you talking about the left or right side? The left side is the connections to the circuit board. The right side just connects the top battery to the bottom one. If that's what popped out, you may be able to use one from a AAA battery holder available from RadioShack.

It is the right side!

It is the right side! The left is definitely wired into something. That would make sense, since I was left with a spiraled piece of wire that looked like it had been connected to the "spring" portion.

Now what is a "AAA battery holder" from Radio Shack?

I tried to do a search on their web catalog, and came up with 2,168 matches and none looked right.

Thanks!

Try this link. You'll need to remove one of the battery jumper springs and see if you can place it in the battery compartment of the Visor.
