Question

I live in Germany, and my mother sent my serial cable to France, where we're going for Xmas. In the meantime, I've been installing apps from a friend's Workpad (Palm III) through beaming. With the newest version of Beam Box, everything works fine, with the sole exception being the Chinese OS from Water Lou.

I tried the Version 1.3.3 simplified character set, lite version. Has anyone successfully installed this through the USB or serial cradle? (I wrote to the developer and Lou immediately replied saying that it should work on the Visor, but there have been problems with corruption to the DB when beaming.)

Do any other apps have this problem?

You might want to try CJKOS at www.dyts.com and/or dragonpen at www.dragonpen.hk.com

Thanks, but too big. I liked the lite version, since my wife's is a Visor 2MB. She studies Chinese and wouldn't be using it as an OS, just something to help learn characters.
