trouble with site thurs AM

Am I the only one that experienced problems connecting to Visorcentral this morning? Even my Avantgo Channel timed out.

yep...I think the server was down. I was trying the site all morning. I thought they were putting up the new logo and design for the website but I was wrong...when will they be doing that anyways? Does anybody know?

Looks like they had more then a server go down. The last 2 VisorNews articles that were posted on Wednesday are now gone. Looks like they had to restore from a backup or something along those lines.

Unhappy

I could not get into the site so I assumed the server was down. Got in once in the a.m. and within 2 minutes could not access the site again. Oh well.

Did any of you experience the shakes and have an anxiety attack?

For a moment there, my life, my whole existence, seemed doomed. Now that the site's back up, I'm just about back to normal (though my family says that's impossible )

Our hosting place had a router problem this morning. Sorry about the inconvenience.

I'll go ahead and warn you right now that we're moving the servers next month so the site will be down during the move. Plan your vacations around that time.

Do files get embarrassed when they get unzipped?

We should be down less than half a day (or night) during the move, and will provide our dedicated readers with the new IP address in advance, so you can access the site before the domain starts resolving.

The move should happen late this weekend, however, the site will be somewhat slow initially, because we are still waiting on a T3 to be installed at the office (Projected installation date is August 15th). Until then we will run on two T1's.

Thanks,

Marcus

Can't do without VisorCentral! Are you handing out free chocolate to appease those of us who may go into deprivation shock?

Just curious how you will get the word out. Please remember those of us who don't post a lot, but are still very dedicated readers!!! I had a panic attack when VC was down the other morning. I actually thought my sys-admin had shut off my VC access because he has a habit of doing things like that to me. I only have about 50 posts, but I've been registered for a full year, and I've been reading daily even longer!

Thanks for providing one of my favorite sites on the Internet!

Any reason I wouldn't be able to log in from my home computer? I'm finally in, but I had've been able to get in from late afternoon yesterday until this afternoon. I was still able to post from work, so all wasn't lost.

Even with the recent outages, we're still doing better than PalmGear...

Oh, wow. That's incredible. I mean, PalmGear is Rock Solid, and they're so Blisteringly Fast.
