Question

Anyone use the module for making PowerPoint presentations using their Visors?

Yes sir. I use it often. It's a great module if you do a lot of PP presentations and don't want to lug around a notebook system.

I suggest you review the evaluation of the Presenter-to-Go module elsewhere at VisorCentral. Tomorrow I will give a presentation at a tech conference, and I'll use the P2G module with a Prism. I know that the attendees will be impressed with the use of the two tools to make such a presentation.

By the way, I hear there are new features coming to the P2G module in the near future.

How about the ability of the Presenter-to-Go to output the Visor screen to a VGA display. Think about how this would enhance training on using the Visor and third party software.

Is this just wishful thinking, Dave, or do you have a reliable source? I would love it if they offered this functionality as an upgrade to existing users.

visor screen output

i was at the handspring developers conference and i heard strong rumors that margi, the company that makes presenter-to-go is very close to coming out with that functionality - and its all software based upgrade!! can't wait for that!

that and if visor would upgrade to 32MB i could make large presentations - sweet!

According to their web site, MARGI System is looking for beta testers for the new software that will allow you to project what is on your Visor screen. Here is the link. They say that it will be available "soon".

They also recently upgraded the software to work with Windows 2K and to allow you to view the text portions of your slides (not the graphics) on your Visor. Finally, they also mention that Mac software is in the works.

I cannot wait to get one of these modules but since I am buying a house, it will be a while.

The Presenter-to-Go module is a winner. With Margi's new program option, HandMirror, coming to the market, the module becomes an even more useful tool. If you have to deliver frequent Power Point presentations and also demonstrate use of the programs on the handheld (those in ROM and those in RAM), you will love this module.

For those providing training on use of handheld, HandMiror, will make the job much easier.
