Unhappy MiniJam Update???

Does anyone know when the long promised MiniJam Update is supposed to be released?(the update that promises to save non-mp3 files on the MMCs)
It has been promised for a long time now(well over one year), I hope that Innogear didn't forget all MiniJam users who bought the MiniJam with the option in mind to backup data on it.
When is it coming out???

You might post that question on the MiniJam board - > http://www.leroyl.com/innogear/viewthread.php?tid=38 The issue has been discussed but no new updates Hopefully it'll be soon because I'm about to buy a MMC/SD Memplug and it costs $55 :P

Gambit, get the MMC memplug as I have been waiting for the mythological Innogear minijam update since I got the minijam when it was first released... and still nothing.. I gave up holding my breath and purchased a memplug a long time ago (smartmedia, have more SM cards than MMC cards floating around), Innogear blew it big time on the whole storage on the mmc cards issue.. they really dropped the ball on this one, no excuses.. I got the memplug as soon as it came out to give me the functionality I needed and wanted when I purchased the minijam.. Since so much time has elapsed and given the whole state of affairs with Handspring and the springboard , I'd say they have probably have, as tobeast put it, "forget all MiniJam users who bought the MiniJam with the option in mind to backup data on it. " If you go to their web site, you can see they are moving away from being only a Handspring Visor accessory company and going into other product lines and areas.. (what does this tell you..) -- frankly given the whole Palm economy I don't blame them.. I don't want people to get me wrong, technically the minijam works well as a music player, the hardware is ok, I am just disappointed and upset with the fact the features were promised (ones I counted on and partly based my purchase decision on) and never delivered.. that's my issue with the minijam.

Translation: since Handspring is apparently going to abandon the springboard, why should we throw more money down a hole?
