PiBackup II 2.0 problem

I've posted this problem in the Yahoo groups page but no one can there has given me a solution that works. So, I'm turning to the experts here at VC.

Here's a description of my problem:

I go into PiBackupII for the first time on Visor Prism. In basic mode, I hit the backup button/picture (whatever you want to call it). The program runs and then hits at a seemingly random file, it gives me a message that says: "Unkown error:" (sic) then gives the file name. Under that is "Backup Error code: 2A0E". Then every file after that gets the same error. I have disabled hacks and I do not have a keyboard. I've tried resetting the PiBackupII settings by hitting the default button. I've tried disabling the automatic power off feature of the Palm OS. I've even tried doing a hard reset and backing up the default data.

A problem associated with this is that there is no Cancel and every single file after the error gets the message. If I soft reset while the error message displays, my Prism resets but all PiTech software says that the CF card is not formated. I can take the card out (causing a Fatal Exception/Reset even when the power is off, which it does anytime I take out the card/Module) and it will revert back to reading the card properly.

If any of you can help, I'd really appreciate it. I've had this problem ever since PiTech include PiBackup II in there CF Memcard updates. I wish I could have stayed with PiBackup 1.

i had a similar problem but with a slightly different error code.

have you tried to run scandisk on your card? it might find some errors and correct them, which may resolve your problem.

I've seen this problem several times too. It's real annoying that there is no way to cancel out. I've found that if you do a backup again it seems to work. I attribute it to the s/w 'getting lost' during the backup. It seems random and won't necessarily do it twice in a row.
