Digital Link Sprint PCS Setup

I was wondering if someone out there who has this working correctly could post a detailed walk through of the proper network connectin and modem setting needed to use the Digital Link on SprintPcs.

I have spent 3 hours on the phone today with both regular customer service and their Wireless Web help department (3 different "techs" there) and have had a hard time getting any help at all. I finally got frustrated and told them I would have to call them back another time.

Using both slip and cslip connecting types under network options I can get the phone to say it is connected. But none of the apps work (included SMS, Eudora Web and Eudora Mail).

Any and all help would be incredibly appreciated.

I got it, someone from another group that I asked the same question at was nice enough to send me the information I needed.

They did in one e-mail without the details what sprint wasn't able to do in 3 hours on the phone asking all sorts of questions.

Go figure.

Here are some hints to set up Data Link

It would be great if the last poster could cut and paste the e-mail with info about how to set up the digital data link.

I've had success only by setting up a sprint pcs e-mail account

[email protected]

then incoming mail server is pop.sprintpcs.com and outgoing is smpt.sprintpcs.com

The most difficult thing in sending mail as most servers won't send mail if you have a different email@server than the one you are sending through smpt.server.com

You can monkey around with these, even get mail from your other account forwarded to the sprint account or something like that. www.sprintpcs.com

Eudora internet suite (free!) is awesome. www.eudora.com

PS Network preferences in the digital data link are service Sprint PCS user name web password ????? I don't know the password. The link set this up when I activated it I think -- connection sprint pcs phone '#2932' I do not think you can dial directly into your own ISP. Must go through sprints network. (hence all the issues)
