Unhappy

I began having trouble syncing my Visor DLX yesterday afternoon after having no difficulty in the morning. No system changes took place in between syncs and in fact the cradle was never even touched.

The trouble appears to be keeping the connection once the cradle button is pushed. Once the button is pushed, the tone is heard and the hotsync box pops up on the screen, but it either (a) is not able to determine the user or (b) if it is able, it either has an extremely slow sync or loses connection.

I've confirmed that the Visor is sitting properly in the cradle and that the serial cable is attached properly. I've also attempted re-booting all to no avail.

Any Ideas?

try a soft reset (push the reset pin on the back)

for some reason this has been a solution for similar problems in the past for many on this board.

Contacts get dirty. Use a standard pencil eraser and clean the contacts. This works sometimes for similar errors. Hope it works for you. Obviously won't do anyhting if it's a software problem.
