<Please bare with my long post, i am frantic>


My problem is that a week ago, a co worker suggested that I try using sidekick99 along with my palm desktop software. I downloaded it and it synched just fine but i noticed that i could no longer initialize my palm desktop program (it gave me a error message stating something to the effect that it could not find files needed to run the program). I re-installed the generic palm software that came with my Visor Deluxe and that is where my problems started. My Visor will not synch with my palm desktop anymore. I have tried different combinations of uninstalling the sidekick99 and palm programs and re-installing them. I still can not synch between the Visor and my Palm Desktop. To make matters worse, i think it might have affect the Visor itself because at home i synch wit MS Outlook and when i got home, it began synching as normal.. when it got to my addressbook portion, it started deleting my addresses. I thought nothing of it, i figured it would delete them off my PC and re add them plus the new additions from my Visor, it didnt. I havent been able to synch at home since. The only common event between these two malfunctions was me adding sidekick99 and trying to sych with it. Could this have messed up the Visor internally? I dont want to do a hard reboot if i dont have to, because now my Visor has the only copy of my contact's addresses (approx. 516 of them) and i can afford to lose them (picture typing them all out). Can anyone help me? I havent been able to synch in 10 days and my Avant go news is getting really old (joke).

I had the same problem when I tried to synch with Sidekick and I got no help from either Sidekick tech support or Visor tech support. I am off to get a Palm because all my data is on Sidekick
