I Need Help With My Minijam

I just received my MJ with 2 64 MB MMC cards and I spent all last night with it and cannot get it to work. When I launch Miniloader, the screen says "waiting for connection" and never connects. Also I tried to load songs from the MM playlist to the MJ and failed miserably at that also. Can someone walk me thru this maze, PLEASE. Luckily the Lakers won last night or I would have smashed my new toy. I think I have downloaded all the software necessary and I reformatted the MMC.

Hold on a sec. Breathe.

For starters - Mac or Windows? If you're on Windows, you need to make sure the MM plugin is installed. If you're on a Mac, close MM and toss it in the Trash, because it's useless to you.

You may be getting the "waiting for connection" message because the Hotsync Manager is enabled. Hotsync needs to be disabled for Miniloader to "see" the cradle.

MINIJAM dysfunction

I am using PC. I disabled hotsynch and was able to get a connection but I still cannot get the music from MM to MJ loader. I just tried and got a bizarre error of Visual CC++ etc and my PC froze and I had to restart. I read that MJLoader and MMJukebox MJ plug in cannot both run at the same time. How do I transfer the music or drag and drop if I cannot run the MM Jukebox?

I read some review that mentioned major problems with the MusicMatch software. I personally never even installed it. Instead I use the included MiniLoader. It's has fewer features but I never had a problem with it.

Make sure that the Visor is in the cradle and start the miniLoader app on the Visor. Then start the miniloader app on your PC. Transfer music using that method and it should work fine.

MiniJam transfer

I don't know how to get my mp3's into the MJloader. What program do you use to keep mp3 files and how do you get them into the MJloader? I will try anything.

I believe all you have to do is start up the MiniLoader, press Add + and browse to where you have your MP3's stored on your hard drive.
