OK, this is really wierd. I just got my replacement BVX in today (scratched screen, broken slot for hardcover, tab on hardcover breaking off). It was in perfect condition. I decided to check it out, what the...a clear stylus? Did they decide to change the color of the stylus?
I pull it out, and find out and see a metal barrel, then a clear tip. So in order to confirm my suspicion I untwist the end and tip, and find the reset pin and screwdriver. I had recieved a Handspring Deluxe Stylus (Ice) in my replacement Blue Visor Deluxe :-)!

Now, my question, am I the only one? Did Handspring make a (good) mistake? Or, are they tring to make up to all of us that have broken visors?

Actually I heard that Handspring Visor deluxes are now shipping with the deluxe mettalic stylus. graphite ships with the graphite stylus and all the coloured visors shipped with the ice. Did not know that this was the case for replacements too though.

I just got my replacement a couple weeks ago (same reasons as you, Compupika). Bummer- same black toothpick stylus in a BVD. No big deal to me though, I have a PDA Panache that works great.

I am expecting a replacement this week or next, will let you know... I just bought a Stylus from ebay too... might have an extra now..

I just recieved my Ice Visor Deluxe yesterday (shipped last week Thursday) and it still had the standard plastic black stylus.

My wife just took delivery of an Orange Deluxe. I have a Palm V. The unit itself is working fine and is generally impressive. I am astounded however at the poor quality of the handspring stylus--the one we got is almost guaranteed to ruin the screen. such a strange place to cut corners.

I placed an order for, and received, a blue Visor Deluxe last week and it indeed came with an ice Deluxe Stylus.

Oh, to make matters more complicated, my friend dropped his GVX on the gym floor, and shattered the screen. He ordered a replacement a couple weeks ago and it came with a standard stylus. He is sorta bummed out that I got a deluxe stylus.

Just to be totally confusing, my brand new BVDx arrived yesterday (ordered 04/03) with NO Stylus. Yes, checked the entire package up and down. Nada.

Called tech support this AM; got big apology; seems they are changing out the cheap-o for the deluxe, and some have gotten out w/o stylus at all.

As an apology they are sending a 5-pack for free.

So, until then, its back to the NEWTON stylus!

Just got my BVDx yesterday with and it had the old style black stylus. It doesn't seem so bad though it is very light. May be I didn't get the Dx stylus because I ordered the new pen stylus for $13.95 at the same time. It has a nice weight and writes reasonably well, though it is NOT refillable . #13.50 for a nonrefillable ballpoint pen is not cool though it is nice to have the pen and reset pin all in one place.

I just got my BVD on Wed. that i ordered on the web page Sat. No upgraded stylus- just the old black one. But I had ordered the rainbow pack at the same time, so I have a nice matching blue one.

Jut got my BVD today and it came with an Ice Deluxe stylus. Unfortunatly after reading this board, and heard about the horrible cheap stylus it was suppose to come with, I had ordered a rainbow pack after I placed my order for the Visor. Guess I will have 5 extra stylus now.

I ordered a replacement IVD, and it came with the same cheap plastic stylus. Doesn't seem like their too conistent
