I want one. If this thing has a vibrating alarm, it's the perfect handheld for me. Compact size with (mechanically) hidable Virtual Graffiti, landscape mode, built-in bluetooth, 64MB RAM, SDIO/MMC slot and voice-recording! I would prefer a jog dial for scrolling in e-books, but at least it has a 5-way d-pad for gaming.

Could be. But if it is, it's a damn good one. Note the different record button shape/size on the left edge and the new d-pad. If this is a hoax, palm should hire the person who did it for their design and/or marketing team.

So what are those screws holding in the bottom picture. They clearly can't go too deep as the mechanism slides.

Seems a bit too perfect that each photo was taken one minute after the previous one.

They don't go that deep. They're on the T|T as well, so they certainly don't diminish its likelihood of being real.

Given past history, this is highly unlikely to be a hoax. This has the exact same pattern as the original T|T AAMOF. Expect to see this probably by the end of the year (if not in October). I'm disappointed that it appears to be slightly larger than the existing T|T, though, and that the button layout has changed.

BTW, looking over the pictures, it seems like if this is a fake, it is the best fake ever. Looks like a neat product.

Well, it surely isn't photoshopped. The only question is whether it's a prototype or a skillful engineer fabricating their own ideal device. I lean towards prototype since it's pretty detailed for a one-off (the serial number, prototype serial numbers exactly like Palm typically has, using a mix of real T|T parts and similar, but new parts). This one appears to be at roughly the same stage as the Oslo was. It was leaked under almost the exact circumstances around July in 2002 (incidentally, get the pics while you can because they'll probably be removed some time next week if not sooner). It hit the stores at the end of October.

No, it's more likely a prototype serial number. Palm usually numbers the prototypes so that if pictures like this slip out, they'll know who violated their NDA.
