cracked frame: fix?

My Visor Deluxe has a crack in the bottom L corner, extending across the on-off button. what is out there in the way of glue, etc to stop the spread of it? thanks,

I have the same problem. The case is not falling apart yet, but the crack seems to be growing. Maybe we can get a case replacement? I've seen some different colors and patterns on these cases.

Angry broken Prism silo

And, the stylus silo on my Prism now has a piece broken off of it. (This could be due to the stress of removing the stylus with the VisorPhone module installed; although, this is a replacement unit that I haven't had as long as the previous [and un-broken] unit.)

I suppose this just enhances the "distressed look" of the Prism - chipped/worn paint, chunks of missing plastic... <sigh>

Power button crack

If your unit is still under warranty, I've heard of folks getting replacements due to this problem. It's a known failing of the VDX class units.

Or you can buy a nice replacement faceplate from any of the vendors mentioned above. Keep in mind that you *technically* void any warranty if you replace the cover. (You kinda have to admit to Handspring that you did that for them to be able to tell, if you put the old one back on).

Cheers!

Marinetex

If you should decide not to go the route of a replacement case, or if you'd like to try something else first, go to any boat or marine supply store (they might have it in a Home Depot, but I don't know) and get Marinetex. It is an epoxy used for boats. I got this tip years ago when I owned several of the Sharp Zaurus models. I used it several times for minor and once a more major crack, and it worked like a charm (easy to use too). I still keep the stuff around. It dried to a dark, charcoal or led pencil grey and the repairs were stronger than the original body.

Ya my prism case has tons of these "stress cracks" all over it I have been reading about. I am not too concerend about gettign a replacement from handspring, but I am having trouble finding a replacement case for the prism, all these companies seem to make cases for everything but the prism...Is there anywhere you guys know of to find a case for the prism?

Has anyone tried any of the replacement faces from www.gethightech.com? I'm curious to know how they are...I do like the different colors. Are there any other companies that sell replacement faces for the Visor?

I've got a crack by the date button that just looks bad. It'll eventually create a larger break.

Thanks.
