Question

I'm looking for a really quality stylus/pen combo, and wondered if anyone has already found what I'm looking for:

I want something well built, heavy, durable, smooth, and good looking. I got a combo pen/stylus from pda panache - the "Duo" I think it was called. It looked good in the pictures, but when I got it it was kinda cheap generally, and the pocket clip was the equivalent of those metal clips pressed onto disposable pens (the cheap ones). Not happy.

So, I looked and looked.

Rotring was o.k., but a little expensive, and I prefer twist action to push button-ball-point-pen kinda thing. It was a little big too (tall).

Cross combo whatever I didn't like. The stylus felt almost like a small eraser that would have to be replaced shortly, and I didn't like the screw on cap that I would probably lose eventually.

So I finally got a Platinum executive combo stylus, pen, and pencil. Generally, I was happy with it. The action was smooth enough, the pen was heavy, and the clip, while still a little on the cheap side, was much improved over the Duo. The mechanism is plastic and maybe a little cheap, but acceptable as long as it was working.

Which brings me to where I am today: I had replaced the ink with a purple refill (I like purple ink) which after a month or so leaked into the mechanism and gummed it all up. I tried everything to fix it, but it's now officially toast. I need a replacement.

Before I buy another Platinum (which I'm about ready to do), I wanted to see if you guys have had any good experiences.

I've had a Stylus+ 4-Way almost as long as I've had my Visor. I'm quite pleased with it as it is well built and easy to use. It also greatly improved my Graffiti writing. Best of all, it's only $19.99 for a stylus (orange color), a .5 mm pencil (with eraser), and 2 ink pens (black & red by default). They offer a multitude of options like other ink colors, hi-liter/underliner, and stylus colors. Check it out!

Thumbs up

Ditto on the Stylus+. I've had mine for more than 6 months and love it! I think it's a steal at $20.

Add my vote for the Stylus+ 4Way. It's great. I really like having both pen and pencil readily available.

Talking

Post another one for the stylus plus. I like it a lot. It has improved my graffitti, and the pens are nice and smooth to write with, not to mention a smooth stylus tip. It also has that good weight to size ratio. For the price it is a great deal.

Stylus+ is great, I too bought one, based on recomendations here, just after I bought my Visor. I liked it so much that I gave three of them as Christmas gifts. My friends liked them so much that I wound up placing an order for refills and another pen for another friend. The company even noticed that I was ordering a lot and sent me a set of complimentry refills. This is the pen to get as a full-sized multifunction stylus.

I agree with everyone else here. I got my Stylus+ about 3 months ago and it's been on of the best PDA purchases I've made.

You can't go wrong, especially with the price.
