Unhappy

Just received my Visor. Very nice, except that when I turn it on, the letters are anywhere from somewhat to completely illegible. The workaround I've found is to turn the backlight on and off. After that the display is sharp...until I turn the Visor off and on again.

Has anyone else seen this? Is there a real fix for this problem?

Sounds like you got a lemon. The two I have are clear and sharp. I'd call for replacement.

I think I will.

I noticed last night that if you pinch both sides of the Visor right around the middle, the problem goes away. Odd, eh?

In that case, you might just have a loose display cable, which if you're the technically inclined tinkering type, you might be able to fix on your own.

I spoke to tech support this morning. It turned out that all that was necessary was a hard reset. I had been trying soft resets, which had failed. Miraculously, all is well now.

Thanks for the comments and suggestions.

Hey, that happened to me too! I hope the hard reset will prevent reoccurances.
