Visor | @ctivelink | CompUSA $99.00

CompUSA is selling the Deluxe bundled with the Glenayre @ctivelink module for $99.00 after rebate. It appears to be available on the web only, but still sounds like a good deal for anyone looking for PDA.

No service activation is required.

I wonder if this would work with my existing service through MetroCall?

Thanks for the info. I think you could use your Metro call service. I bought a Visor over the phone. I expected a regular Visor. Instead I got the Glenayre package. I'm almost positive it came with a card from metrocall, along with any envelop to mail the modem to them for activation.

Looks like I was wrong! I called Compusa and they said it can only be activated thru SkyTel.

In-Stores too

I saw a whole slew of them in the Huntsville, AL CompUSA (30-40 boxes). Although, the price was $129 for the VDX and GA Module. I didn't look for a rebate, though.

I had also never noticed these in the store previously, I'm fairly sure they were not there. They probably got a good deal on Office Depot's stock and are liquidating them. Just a hunch since CompUSA didn't stock them previously, but I've been wrong once before...

Now if I could just keep her from making those long distance calls on my VisorPhone...

When I called compUSA on Friday they said they had 45 in the NYC store on 5th Ave. I went there fri eve and they had no idea what i was talking about: they had none and weren't expecting any. They did tell me that they'd had them in store before, though, so it may not be that unusual.
