Unhappy Repair parts

I recently dropped my visor deluxe and the screen broke. Handspring wants more for repair than I paid for the unit. At this point I'm not concerned about the warranty and just would like to fix it. If there is an outside company that can do lower $ repairs as in just screen replacement or can I purchase parts somewhere and have a friend who works on electronics do the repair. Please advise. Thank you!

Check out www.gethightech.com. There are others as well, but I have had good luck here.
